R&D Regulatory Specialist

Main Purpose of the Job

To ensure regulatory compliance within the cosmetic, personal care, and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs sectors. Key responsibilities include supporting the R&D department in regulatory matters, preparing internal reports adhering to regulatory guidelines, and staying updated on current cosmetic regulations. Additionally, the role involves assessing regulatory risks associated with product development, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information, and assisting in various R&D lab work, including formulation and product development.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support R&D department in regulatory and product compliance (Cosmetics, Personal Care, OTC Drugs)
• Prepare internal reports and statements according to standards and regulatory guidelines
• Remain knowledgeable about current cosmetic regulations
• Identify and assess the regulatory risks associated with product development for assigned projects
• Regular access to confidential and/or sensitive information
• Assist in various R&D related lab work as required, including product development and formulation
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of laboratory equipment, instruments, and working stations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the cosmetic industry
• Strong understanding and knowledge of cosmetic regulations, product safety and global compliance
• Strong documentation practices
• Highly organized, strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
• Computer literacy (experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good understanding on product development and market trends
